CREDIT AND DEBIT CARDS
Ensuring the security and protection of customer’s personal information is important to us.
Cheviot Trees is compliant with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS). In security terms, it means that our business adheres to the PCI DSS requirements for security management, policies, procedures and other critical protective measures. In operational terms, it means that we are playing our role to make sure our customers' payment card data is being kept safe throughout every transaction, and that they – and us – can have confidence that they're protected against the pain and cost of data breaches.
We only allow access of Card information to office and sales staff, third party payment processors and others only in extenuating circumstances (such as investigations of Card Fraud by the Police).
We maintain a program to monitor our service providers’ PCI DSS compliance status annually. To do this we obtain the most recent Mastercard and Visa Compliant Service Providers Lists online and check that our service provider has registered a valid Attestation of Compliance (AOC).
