The TUBEX Nature is a next generation tree shelter that is bio based, non toxic and tested to be biodegradable*.

It retains all of the superior features of a Tubex treeshelter whilst introducing biodegradability in its composition.

Shelter features:

Twin wall, cylindrical construction for best strength to weight ratio.
Pre-fitted releasable ties for quick installation and maintenance.
Flared rim to minimise stem abrasion.
Laser line designed to split to avoid strangulation as the plant grows.

TUBEX Nature will over time start to degrade and breakdown into water and CO2 by a process of microbiology, rate and time period of bio-degradation depending on soil and climatic conditions.

Bio-based polymers are materials wholly or partly derived from biomass, such as plants, trees or animals. But not all Bio-based polymers are biodegradable.

All polymers used to manufacture TUBEX Nature have already been tested to be biodegradable and bio-based*.

*All components of TUBEX Nature have been tested and certified to biodegrade, passing the norm 14995:2006

**Currently under testing for ISO:17556 Soil Biodegradability. Tested against OECD 207 for Earth-worm ecotoxicity and OECD 208 for Plant ecotoxicity - No acute toxicity detected.

The prices quoted above are inclusive of delivery for most UK Mainland postcodes. We do our best to keep costs as low as possible for our customers who live in the Highlands and Islands.

Larger quantities of tree shelters and stakes are normally packaged on pallets and delivered using a lorry which is typically the size of a refuse lorry.
