  • Spiral Guard (Clear)

    £0.25
    from £0.18

Our Spiral guards are an economical, entry level plant guard for basic rabbit / hare protection.

    Quick and easy to install.

Manufactured from 100% recycled PVC and supplied with pre punched ventilation holes.

Spirals should only be used on small, slender planting stock and are not suitable for use on exposed sites. Consider using the Tubex Ecostart for exposed sites.

A cane is required to support this product.

  • TUBEX Standard

    £1.20
    from £0.73

The TUBEX Standard is the world's best known and best selling tree shelter.

Incorporating all the tried and tested TUBEX features to provide enhanced growth and plant protection.

    Features and benefits:

    • Twin wall, cylindrical construction for best strength to weight ratio.
    • Pre-fitted releasable ties for quick installation and maintenance.
    • Flared rim to minimise stem abrasion.
    • Laser line designed to split to avoid strangulation as the plant grows.

For species that require extra ventilation or for exposed sites you may wish to consider the TUBEX Combitube as an alternative.

  • TUBEX Voleguard

    £0.28
    from £0.21

TUBEX Voleguards help to minimise potentially fatal damage caused by voles and mice such as bark stripping.

They are a tightly rolled plastic cylinder which is split vertically and designed to hold it's unique shape and retain sufficient overlap to enable the VOLEGUARD to expand as the tree grows.

    Features and benefits include:

    • Manufactured from high gauge brown polypropylene which does not harm the environment.
    • Rigid design that provides high strength and low weight.

Voleguards are self supporting but a cane is often recommended for support and to prevent pivoting. A bamboo cane of 450mm height is sufficient although some of our clients prefer using a 900mm height to provide greater visibility in the field to aid future maintenance.

  • BIO Spiral Guard (Green tint)

    £0.82
    from £0.70

Cheviot Trees is pleased to offer its clients a more sustainable alternative to traditional PVC spiral guards.

Manufactured from sustainable plant based starch - no petrochemical based material.

The CT Bio Spiral guard has a UV stabiliser incorporated at the time of manufacturing to provide a stable service life of 4-5 years.

    • 100% plant based - no plastic!
    • Tested to meet conformity to EU guidelines
    • Environmentally friendly and sustainable.

If the Bio Spirals are left in the environment they will degrade over time due to the bacteria found in soil or due to enzymatic reactions. Alternatively, they can be inserted into an industrial composting unit which will degrade them within 6 months.
